Seek Him until you find Him…

The passion of His presence

The worship setting was powerful yet personal, as if you were entering Heaven itself.  The singing, hands lifted all around, and hundreds of youth praising and thanking their Creator.  It was Heaven on Earth.  The glory of God filled the temple as it did in the past, and you had to be completely devoid of feeling to not be devoured by His absolute love.

Worship isn’t just singing a song.  I want you to hear through the Spirit of God.  It’s more than just raising your hands.  Throughout my journey, I’ve felt that God is lifting up a people who are going to worship Him.  There’s a difference between those that come to church for any reason and those that are called sons and daughters.  The things that have been happening in our church is kind of weird, but a good weird.  I love to worship and raise my hands, I love it, but I realized that I had to change my mind when it comes to it.  I know when someone understands the presence of God because they will manifest it.  When our Apostle takes the microphone and says “God I worship you”, you can feel a change in the atmosphere.

Apostle Guillermo Maldonado was speaking to me and a group of others in a meeting.  He told us that “when you truly worship God is when you lose all awareness of yourself.”  We are the bride of Christ.  We are supposed to love the groom.  You don’t have to be told to tell the person you love (husband/wife/fiancée etc.) that you love them.  It’s already in you.  God is love, and He is a spirit and so are we.  Yet, here’s how you will lose all self-awareness.  All those things you’ve seen in the world and in the church and what other people have done, is not what worship is, but worship is what you do! It’s about your heart connecting to God’s.  You can do whatever you want to do when you worship, because it’s about your worship, not others.  I heard Pastor Benny Hinn say something that changed my life.  He said God told him “Benny, seek Me until you find Me.”  It became an echo in my head, “seek me until you find me, seek me until you find me.”  I went on a quest to seek Him, and my life has never been the same.  Weird things are going to continue to happen to those who are crazy enough to seek Him until they find Him.  When you just feel like rolling on the floor when you worship, just do it, not because you saw someone else do it.  God is too vast for you to think you know Him.  You need to seek Him until you find Him.  When you find Him, you will know Him.  This recap is to tell you about seeking God’s face.

Going all the way with God

“6 This is Jacob, the generation of those who seek Him,

Who seek Your face.  Selah

7 Lift up your heads, O you gates!

And be lifted up, you everlasting doors!

And the King of glory shall come in.” Psalm 24:6-7

Not everyone is allowed to His holy place.  Do you know what His holy place is?  His presence.  He doesn’t just meet up with anybody there.  The ones who seek Him are the ones who go into His holy place.  The fact that you’re seeking Him, that’s when you know you don’t lift your soul to other idols.  When you seek Him is when your hands get clean.  When you seek Him, He will take care of whatever you need taken care of.  All these things that the devil has been putting in front of you, forget all of that, just seek Him.  Jesus said “come as you are.”  When you go to Him and seek Him, He will take care of your sin and your trash.  The only way you will change is when you begin to seek God.  If you don’t know how to seek God in your own time, even with a mentor or House of Peace or speaking to the pastor, you won’t change.  The only way to continue serving Him is to seek Him.

There are people who want to go speak to everybody for counseling, but they don’t seek one minute with God.  One second in the presence of God can change your life.  That’s why the Apostle Paul said “I go from glory to glory.”  That’s why he kept changing into everything that he saw.  He said that every time he saw God he would change again and again.  That’s what happens in the presence of God.  That’s why you need to seek Him.  No matter who tells you what, seek Him till you find Him.  I came to tell you that when you find Him, don’t let Him go!  A lot of people think worship is religious.  In John 4, Jesus says He had to go to speak to the Samaritan woman.  When He sat by the well of Jacob, He told the woman all the men she had been sleeping with.  See, sometimes you try to get all religious on God and pretend, but that doesn’t work with God.  Be careful what comes out of your mouth with God.  The Samaritan woman then tells Jesus “well, our forefathers used to worship on this mountain.”  She got religious on Jesus.  Then Jesus told her “you don’t even know what you’re talking about.  You have no idea about worship.”  Jesus told her “salvation is of the Jews, but the time is coming when a people will worship the Father in spirit and in truth.”  That time is now.  It’s not about religion.  If you don’t live out what you are saying, you will remain the same way, you have to live it.  I don’t care what your age is, you need to seek God.  You must seek His face.

God is not going to forget you.  You don’t think that He knows you?  You don’t think that He knows that you are watching things you’re not supposed to, that you’re cursing in your mind, that you still have a lot of problems with a lot of people?  Yet, to Him it’s not about that, He just wants you to seek Him.  It’s just about Him.  He tells you that He loves you because He knows you.  Are you going to choose to seek His face?  Jacob wrestled with God all night long.  He didn’t let God go until God blessed him.  He had to fight because he didn’t want to give up.  You need to never let go of God!  It doesn’t matter what happens, because a lot of people who, after a little bit of rejection, leave the church and leave God.  Don’t let that be you.  I’ve had to wrestle for many years, but I’m not letting God go until He blesses me.  God is telling you “seek Me until you find Me.”  You are the generation that is going to seek Him until we find Him, not a religious generation, but one that has a real relationship with God.
