Not everyone likes orders…

The night started off with extravagant worship to our Creator and Savior.  The Holy Spirit was flowing throughout the building, filling the hearts of every worshipper with holiness.  No one wanted to stop, we could’ve stayed there all night just praying and thanking God for His goodness if possible.  After everyone was asked to sit down, we had several evangelism testimonies.  Are you going out there, saving the lost?  Are you passionate about God’s priority, soul winning?  Declare that your city, village or nation is going to be completely taken over by the Kingdom of God.  Get your church involved in evangelism and you will see how everything will begin to multiply and advance, from the finances to the members to the anointing.

Elder Huibert Zamora, who was speaking tonight, asked everyone to take out their cell phone and start calling a random number and whoever picks up the phone, get them saved.  It was amazing to see over 800 youth call someone who had no idea what was going on, and a few minutes later, that parties were being thrown in Heaven for all the salvations.

7 And which of you, having a servant plowing or tending sheep, will say to him when he has come in from the field, ‘Come at once and sit down to eat’? 8 But will he not rather say to him, ‘Prepare something for my supper, and gird yourself and serve me till I have eaten and drunk, and afterward you will eat and drink’? 9 Does he thank that servant because he did the things that were commanded him? I think not. 10 So likewise you, when you have done all those things which you are commanded, say, ‘We are unprofitable servants. We have done what was our duty to do.’” Luke 17:7-10

I want you to say with me “servant”.  A servant does everything they are told to do.  Orders are given when you go to work and you need to follow them.  When you go to school your teacher gives you orders.  Not everyone likes orders or being told what to do but everywhere you go you will be told what to do.  As a matter of fact, when we were born we received orders by our parents.  Some people say “I’m not going to do what they tell me, I’ll do it when I feel like it.”  “My mom or dad isn’t going to make me serve God; I’ll do it when I want to, when it comes out of me.”  What if it’s never birthed out of someone to serve God?  If your mother tells you to brush your teeth, she tells you so your teeth won’t be rotten.  You want it to be birthed out of you but it doesn’t work that way.  Do you know how Jesus snatches disciples?  He said “follow me!”  Some left their boats, parents and businesses to follow an order.  The excuse always is “I will do it when I feel like it.  I don’t need to be told what to do.”  Do you know why you are who you are right now?  Because you didn’t follow the orders that you were given.  The attitude that you have or the type of fruit that you produce comes from the orders you’ve been given and the orders you’ve obeyed.  Everything is about orders.  They mold our characters.  They bring us into the center of God’s will.  Say “orders.”  Not everyone likes to take orders.

Have you been following orders?

One time I came from Orlando and I kept hearing voices outside my house.  I looked and there were three people smoking blunts right behind my backyard.  When I drove up to them they ran into a back alley.  I went up to them and started to tell them about Jesus and the sins they’ve committed.  One of the kids told me “what is sin?”  I told him “sin is something that doesn’t please God.”  Did you know that Adam and Eve didn’t do some really big sin?  They didn’t lie, steal or do something terrible with their bodies.  They failed to follow an order.  God wants us to follow orders so we can stay in God’s will.  It’s not fornication or foul language that is wrong, it’s that you’re not following God’s orders.  Adam and Eve, after eating the fruit realized they were naked.  They got out of God’s covering once they sinned.  Say “orders!”  When God gives you an order it’s because He wants you to be aligned to the center of His will.  Usually we take orders from people we need.  You listen to orders from your boss or professor to get your paycheck or diploma.  You better be obeying God’s orders and listening to Him more than whom you listen to anyone else.  Do you think you need that diploma or job more than God?  So what must we do to follow orders more efficiently?  We must kill our ego.

What are orders for?  To align yourself to the will of God.  Not everyone is doing the will of God because not everyone is following orders.  Do you know why your life is a mess?  Because you don’t obey orders.  You must participate in your own funeral.  Your ego is your problem.  It’s all about you.  “I need to do this and that, I need to accomplish my dreams, I need to make money.”  You know what religion does?  It feeds your ego.  Religion takes out spider webs.  Have you ever had spider webs in your house?  See, religion takes out the spider webs but Jesus takes out the spider.  Do you want to know what the spider is?  It’s that bad habit that you can’t kill, it’s that thing you keep going back to.  The spider is your ego, it’s all about you, but it’s not about you, it’s about Christ.  Why do you get upset?  Someone pushed your ego.  Why do you get jealous?  Someone intimidated your ego.  Your ego is the root of your sin.  Why do you treat your dad wrong or scream at your mom?  It’s because of your ego.  You come to church to get rid of your spider web but when you leave the spider makes a brand new one.

Orders from the headquarters

38 And he who does not take his cross and follow after Me is not worthy of Me. 39 He who finds his life will lose it, and he who loses his life for My sake will find it. Matthew 10:38-40

God says if you lose your will you will find His will.  Everything is being shaken, from finances to big companies.  You need to say “God, it’s not my will but your will be done!”  I’m here to tell you to kill the spider and kill the ego.  God wants to manifest His glory in you, so what are you waiting for?  It’s the ego; it’s all about “me, me, me.”  What you don’t stop now might kill you or destroy you.  These are orders from the headquarters.  You won’t know what living is until you participate in your own funeral.  Everything is about yourself and you think “I’m going to live my life.”  That’s not living, that’s vain glory out there in the world.  Let’s be real, everything that the world has to offer I’ll spit at it.  You don’t need what the world has but the life God has for us.  That life is perfect, it’s His will.  You want to know what I want to tell you, do God’s will.  How?  Obey His orders.  Be holy because God is holy.  How many times has God told you to serve Him?  Your service will sustain you through these times.  No matter what you’re going through, your service to Him will keep you alive.

7 And which of you, having a servant plowing or tending sheep, will say to him when he has come in from the field, ‘Come at once and sit down to eat’?  Luke 17:7

That’s the ego, “thank me, I just worked all day for you.”  Why should you be thanked, you only did what you were told to do.  You should be happy because you’re doing His will.  If you only do what you were supposed to do then you are called unworthy, but when you go out of your way than what you were told to do then you are a worthy servant.  When you give God more than your Sundays, when you go that extra mile then God calls you a worthy servant.  This man came from plowing a whole day of work and said “now I want to serve you your food.”  If this servant didn’t serve his master then he would be eating the food of the servants but since he served his master more than he had to, he got to eat the master’s food.  You must honor God so you can eat what God eats.  When you eat what God eats, He will give you everything in His Kingdom.  You don’t have to eat what everyone else is eating when you serve the Master, Jesus Christ.  You need to go beyond what you are doing, take that extra leap that no one else is taking.

Let God restore you right now

Tell God “I will serve you!  Forgive me for doing what I want.  Forgive me for not doing your will.  God, I die today, I die to myself.  I want to do Your will my Father.”  The Master says “if you serve Me, I will nourish you, I will give you real food.”

If you’re reading this, I want to tell you that when everyone dies we either go to Heaven or hell.  Are you tired of living for yourself?  You need Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior.  You know what you need to do?  You need to believe in your heart and confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord.  Your life is in danger and you need Jesus tonight.  Make a decision to seek God right now.  Where will you go when you die?  Jesus wants to save your soul.  If you say “I want to accept Jesus as my Savior” then believe in Him and He will give you eternal life in Heaven.  Deny yourself, deny your ego and do His will.  You need Jesus and the Holy Spirit is convicting you as you read this.  I want you to repeat this prayer:  “Father, I come to you recognizing that I’m a sinner and my sin separates me from You.  I confess you as my Lord and Savior.  You died and rose on the third day.  I die to my ego.  Forgive me from all of my sin and wash me clean with your blood.  I break every covenant with the devil, the world and my ego.  If I were to die I would be in your presence, in Jesus name amen!”

If you made that prayer I want you to e-mail us or leave us a comment.  We are here to serve you, so however we can help you, let us know.  Thank you, God bless you.
